Organic mountain farm with much history and future
Our farm has a centuries-old history. The Samerhof was first mentioned in documents in 1326, at the time of the late Middle Ages.
For us, living on a farm is both preserving traditions and breaking new ground.
During the renovation of the farmhouse, we were very concerned to preserve historical elements. Rural architecture and traditional rustic furniture in the stable and barn as well as in the farmhouse tell of the centuries-old history of our farm.
Cereals have always been grown on the fields of our farm. We have revived this tradition; we plant the finest organic cereals, which we harvest in summer and grind into flour.
You are welcome to visit our historic mill and we will explain you the journey from grain to bread.
Spend some cosy hours in our historical South Tyrolean farmhouse parlour, which was built in the middle of the 19th century and rebuilt into the new farmhouse after extensive restoration work.
